Using Mailcoach Self-Hosted? Check out the self-hosted documentation
Mailcoach is an email marketing platform that sends out bulk mailings and drip campaigns affordably. It can also keep track of all transactional emails sent out by your app through the API.
Mailcoach can send emails through our own infrastructure. Behind the scenes, we use a major email service with a good track record of sending emails reliably at scale.
Mailcoach can send emails through your account on a 3rd party service such as Amazon SES, Mailgun, or Postmark (among others). In many cases, this is the most affordable option to send email.

We recommend using one of the providers below to send out mail.
Mailcoach also supports sending via SMTP. When using SMTP, open and click tracking will not be available.
Set up two-factor authentication to enhance your account’s security.
A list is a collection of subscribers that have opted into receiving your emails. You may have a list containing the followers of your blog.
Tags and segments are used to divide a subscriber list into parts that can be targeted by an email campaign.
A template is a reusable layout that can be used as a starting point for your campaigns, automation emails or transactional mails.
An email campaign is a set of emails that can be sent to an email list (or a segment of a list).
Mailcoach allows you to set up automations that use different “actions” to determine the flow and mails sent to your subscribers.
Mailcoach can send transactional mails for your application. Any transactional mails sent through Mailcoach will be displayed in the transactional mail log.
Mailcoach can send a request to your app whenever something happens within Mailcoach.
Subscribers that have been hard bounced or marked as spam complaints will be automatically suppressed.
This means that no mails will be sent to them anymore.
Moving from Mailcoach self-hosted to Mailcoach is a straightforward process. A self-hosted instance of Mailcoach (v6 and up) can export all its data to a zip file that can be imported into our service.
Generating Markdown on the server using the Mailcoach API can simplify repetitive tasks by automatically pulling in data from various sources to generate a newsletter. This makes managing and sending newsletters easier without manual intervention.
